Life begins after coffee...

by - enero 18, 2018

Raro, no?)

Since I can remember, coffee has been in my life: my father takes it as his first morning liquid, my first boss asked me to bring him a good black coffee when he arrived at the office, my husband prefers a doppio espresso. The intense aroma and revitalizing flavor is what wakes me up in the morning and keeps me alive. Yep! I am in the process of becoming a caffeine addict. But only for the pleasure of "real" coffee. I prefer the old coffee shops to the big chains in the mall. The aroma of a freshly brewed coffee does not exist between stained glass windows filled with cookies and sizes of plastic cups that I never remember its name (in addition, who would drink 10 oz. of coffee?) Real coffee is not more than 1 oz. compared to the 12 oz. that has the "tall" glass (that is actually the smallest, rare, is not it?)

SIP!!! CAFÉ!!!!!! así que manos a la moledora...

All this theory in the form of coffee beans (freshly ground, mmmmmm) comes because of my newly released discovery: the blog of Kraft + and his challenge this month that has to see guess what ?! YEP!!! COFFEE!!!!!! so, hands to the grinder ...

Y esta es mi propuesta:
And this is my proposal:

As you can see, I used a 12"x12" kraft paper as background and then I put a yellow frame on it to give contrast. The ornaments I had long ago. The phrase is from the stickers of Cute Girl, the flower I printed it and then I made fussy cutting as well as the stamping of a cup of coffee that I made with watercolors and a stencil but I cut it with the portrait. All in shades very ... coffee !!!

The Kraft + girls have monthly challenges where the kraft is the main protagonist so I signed this year to participate with them. Unfortunately they are located in Australia and the awards are only for residents there, but foreigners have the option to participate as a "Guest Designer" which is great to see your work all over the world. So there are no excuses for not participating!

And before leaving I wish you an excellent summer (for Latin Americans) and a cozy winter for those who are on the other side of our hemisphere! (Obviously, with tons of coffee)

I'm lucky to keep this view every day (and coffee)
(the window is difficult to clean because it's 9 ft. from the ground)
(my OCD forces me to clarify that point)

Y la canción? cuál otra...
And the song? What else...
